Screen Printing
M&E has been a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s screen printing industry, with the capability to print on a wide variety of substrates using advanced screen printing technology. Our journey began in 1981 with the small-scale production of self-adhesive labels and promotional stickers. A major milestone followed in February 1982 when Lever Brothers (Ceylon) Ltd. entrusted M&E with printing the packaging for its revolutionary Sunsilk single-use shampoo sachets, making us the company’s exclusive printing partner until 1984, when production transitioned to automated form-fill-seal (FFS) technology using pre-printed laminates.
During the mid-1980s, M&E further strengthened its reputation by introducing high-quality colour screen printing, including process colour printing, on a wide range of materials such as self-adhesive aluminium foil, PVC sheets, polypropylene (PP), and HDPE corrugated boards. This expertise earned the trust of multinational corporations and leading local businesses, establishing M&E as the industry’s preferred screen-printing specialist.
In 1995, we once again demonstrated our commitment to innovation by introducing Sri Lanka’s largest single-piece screen print, measuring 100 cm × 140 cm, with four-colour process printing. This achievement received an overwhelmingly positive response from both customers and the printing industry, reinforcing M&E’s reputation for delivering high-impact, large-format printing solutions.

In 1995, M&E expanded its capabilities by introducing offset printing to meet the growing demand for premium-quality labels and stickers. Using self-adhesive materials sourced from the world’s leading manufacturers, along with high-quality inks and advanced printing technology, the company delivers exceptional print quality and consistency. Today, M&E’s core business is the production of self-adhesive labels and promotional stickers for many of Sri Lanka’s leading brands, utilizing premium raw materials from globally recognized suppliers to ensure durability, vibrant print quality, and reliable performance. In addition to self-adhesive products, M&E also offers offset printing services on a wide range of non-self-adhesive paper substrates, providing versatile and customized printing solutions for diverse business and promotional requirements.
